12 students from Years 12 & 13 spent the day enjoying a private tour of Oxford University today.
Moulton Sixth Form is partnered with Worcester College, one of the largest members of Oxford University's collegiate system. This is the fifth year that Moulton students have benefited from the tour, which provides students with an insight into what life is like as a student at what is ranked as the sixth best university institution in the world. Unfortunately, Emma Watson was not on hand to chat to students about life as a Worcester College student, as she was three years ago when Moulton visited.
This year, Moulton Sixth Former Charlotte Schofield earned a place reading French & Arabic at this illustrious establishment.
The students attended a seminar on how to maximise your chances of receiving an offer to study at an Oxbridge college before receiving a tour of the 27 acre college from a second year student at Worcester College.
Following lunch, the students then embarked on a walking tour of the other Oxford Colleges. As it is still the tourist season, each college charges admission to peruse the facilities, but a little Moulton charm managed to secure a free visit to neighboring Trinity College.
The highlight of the visit seemed to be walking up a staircase that appeared in the Harry Potter films. Some people are easily impressed!
