Record Results for Moulton School

2015's A level results day saw Moulton students achieve the best results recorded by the school. A-grades were raining down like confetti on the elated students on a day that marked a fitting end to a year of hard work for staff and students.

Congratulations to Patrick Deady, whose 3 A*'s and an A grade allowed him to take up his place at Cambridge University to study law, and to Charlotte Schofield, whose 3 A's meant that she has been accepted to Oxford to study languages once she has completed her gap year.

Seven other students matched Patrick and Charlotte's feat of achieving straight A'*-A in their A-levels. Well done to Hannah Cooper, George Ham, Molly Hayle, Alanna Stevenson, Luke Wrightson, Adam Johnson and Matthew Myers. Typically, Matthew Myers received news of his A*AA by phone whilst on the golf course, whilst Adam Johnson's colossal achievement of A*A*A* puts him in an excellent position when applying to medical school next year.

Elsewhere, congratulations must also go to 'the other' Hannah Cooper and Annabel Hinde. Having achieved B grades in Business Studies at AS level last year, not only did they finish the course with A*'s, but both girls managed the staggering accomplishment of achieving full UMS in not one, but both, of their A2 Business examinations.

The Year 12 students also celebrated an unprecedented day of success when collecting their AS results. No fewer than 16 students picked up an A grade in AS Maths, meaning an astounding 59% of the cohort achieved the top grade in the subject (59.259259% to be mathematically accurate)!

Aiden McCoach, Ibrahim Ahmad, James Campling, Evie Horsley, Lydia Wilson and Alex Stewart Moreno must all be congratulated on achieving A grades in three or more subjects.

Well done to all students on your achievements this year. You have made everyone associated with the school very proud.

A decent 6-a-Side team, but even better A-level students.
