Two year 12 students traveled to Kettering General Hospital this week to donate money to the hospital, raised through their involvement in the National Citizen Service scheme.
Tammi Sparks and Hannah Costello completed the NCS award during the summer, with part of their final project requiring them to plan a fundraising event for a charitable organisation. The pair decided to raise money for the stroke ward at Kettering General, going on to generate in excess of £300 for their cause.
The two industrious philanthropists raised this sum by setting up a stall at this summer's Umbrella Fair, which was held at The Racecourse on the 15th & 16th of August. The two day festival of of music, poetry, dance and theatre provided the girls with the perfect target market for their fundraising efforts, for which their chosen charity are no doubt extremely grateful.
Well done to both girls.
